GHSA action to kick off Feb. 12th

It’s still quite cold across Georgia, but baseball is making its return to the Peach State across all 159 counties. High school baseball is set to begin at most schools in a little over a week on Monday, February 12th. Practices for most teams began around January 15th, the earliest time practices may begin per the Georgia High School Association.

In preparation for high school baseball, Peachtree Pennant will be releasing a pre-season ranking of Georgia High School baseball teams and noteable names ahead of the season opener. Teams defending a championship title in 2018 include Schley County (A public), Savannah Christian (A private), Jeff Davis (2A), North Hall (3A), Marist (4A), Loganville (5A), Pope (6A), and Etowah (7A). While these teams defend their title, there are quite a few new names in the rankings, including a powerhouse school atop the list. Stay tuned as we recap our pre-season high school baseball rankings next week.
