Pennant Podcast #1: Ronald Acuna, MiLB pace-of-play, GHSA rankings, UGA’s rare feat

Ronald Acuna/USA Today

The all-new Peachtree Pennant podcast launched this weekend as contributing editor, Josh Tanner, was joined by fellow site contributor, Steven Teal to talk of Braves spring training, Georgia High School baseball rankings, college scores and notes, Minor League Baseball’s new pace-of-play initiatives, and of course, young phenom Ronald Acuna.

The new podcast will be released every Monday morning throughout baseball season (February-September), with a rotating cast of co-hosts. The show will be anchored by Josh Tanner or Austin Fariss (who will rotate hosting duties), while being joined each week by a different site contributor or special guest within the world of Georgia baseball. Consistent with the site’s coverage, the podcast will provide the latest news, notes, and commentary on all of the latest happenings across the world of Georgia baseball, from high school to MLB.

In next week’s show, Josh returns with special Braves guests to preview the upcoming season and give projections regarding the 2018 Braves squad just days in advance of Opening Day 2018. We’ll update you on the guests as the date approaches.

Until then, enjoy this inaugural edition of the all-new Peachtree Pennant podcast!
