This is the guy most have slotted to the Atlanta Braves at 8. He is a well known commodity to scouts: big kid (6’1, 210lbs at 18yrs old), big power, big questionmark because of his aggressiveness at the plate. The graduate of Sandra Day O’Connor HS in Arizona is known for have the most natural power of any prep bat in the current class and has a glove and arm that will most likely profile at 3B longterm, although he has played 2B/SS in years past. He has shown some more patience at the plate this season but, in all honesty, I’m not very sure how many of those walks were semi intentional. No one wanted to give him anything to hit at the HS level because opponents knew him well. He can be a game changer with one swing of the bat and could definitely be the next up and coming Austin Riley very soon. He shows good makeup and looks to be a potential high risk/high reward pick. Look for him to go high if not with Atlanta.

I'm a 4th generation Braves fan from the metro-Atlanta area. I live for the crack of the bat in spring and weep at the last out of the world series...ok that's a little much. Happily married. Professional musician. Georgia Boy. Christ follower. Oh, and I write about the Braves and stuff.
